Financial Controller

Position summary: 

The appropriate candidate will establish and maintain financial and management procedures, direct the organization’s financial goals, objectives, budgets and cash management, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and be accountable for the accurate and timely consolidation of all accounting and financial reporting including the preparation of financial reports that summarize and forecast the organization’s financial position, such as income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings or expenses.

Job responsibilites: 

Reporting to the CFO and overseeing a staff of 3, the appropriate candidate will perform the following Key Job Responsibilities and possess the following skills and experience:

  • Exemplify Core Values in leading the Fayetteville accounting effort
  • Coordinate, lead, develop and direct accounting team effort in all aspects of accounting functions including but not limited to: Adherence to GAAP, Management Reporting, Cost Accounting, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Capital Expenditure Analysis and Review
  • Formulate and take responsibility for overall management and delivery of strategic Business Plan. Demonstrate capabilities in budgeting and ad hoc financial analyses including 5-year pro forma, annual budgeting and 12-month rolling forecast; Report on actual results vs. forecasts/budgets; Research, analyze and effectively report to leadership key factors affecting business performance and  profitability
  • Monitor, interpret and oversee cash flows and predict future trends; analyze change and advise accordingly
  • Conduct reviews and evaluation for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Manage company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems; produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
  • Liaison with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring and controls
  • Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts: auditors, bankers and statutory organizations
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
Position requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business with Accounting Core or related field
  • MBA or equivalent experience, CMA or CPA a plus
  • Minimum five to seven years’ experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Minimum three to five years related accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles, standard cost systems and business practices.
  • Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess excellent analytical, planning and organization skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities, set and achieve challenging goals; work under the pressure of deadline and be adept at managing multiple tasks
  • Proficient in use of personal computer software tools - Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, experience with Plex Cloud ERP Software for Manufacturing a plus
