Inside Sales Account Manager

Brentwood, Tennessee
Position summary: 

Responsible for driving domestic new business sales initiatives and pipeline activity around Copperweld’s construction, telecom and automotive product lines.  Will devise and deliver on sales activity plans including high outbound call rates as well as driving partner engagement, territory and strategic planning. Responsible for all functions of the sales cycle to include: quoting, quote follow up, order entry and shipment. Must be outgoing with the ability to develop sincere relationships with customers. 

Job responsibilites: 
  • Working with Vice President of Sales to implement the strategic vision of the company
  • Assist with training and mentoring of new sales trainees
  • Place outbound calls to uncover potential business prospects by performing a needs assessment to identify and leverage differentiation and opportunities
  • Demonstrate products knowledge, explain product features and develop business relationships
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients or channel partners and participating in networking organizations
  • Cultivate business prospects through the lead generation process - starting with initial contact, lead nurturing and lead qualification
  • Conduct effective research to develop territory sales plan and target opportunity lists
  • Build relationships with relevant new partner and reseller contacts
  • Drive client engagement and manage customer relations
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Able to adapt to shifting markets, customers and innovation
  • Prepare presentable sales reports
  • Maintain accurate sales and pipeline data

  • Experience managing an inside sales team
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; a combination of education and experience will be considered
  • 2-5 years of business to business inside sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt their style to the audience
  • Demonstrated business development experience with telephone-based sales
  • Highly motivated with a relentless appetite for success
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Aptitude to absorb new technical product knowledge rapidly
  • Ability to build new relationships and network at all levels
  • Good computing skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, VoIP Software)
