Maintenance Manager

Fayetteville, Tennessee
Position summary: 

Provides strategic leadership, overall direction and guidance of day-to-day activities of directing, controlling and coordinating all phases of the Maintenance Function, ensuring optimum machinery and work center performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to CW safety standards, maintenance of proper inventories of critical spare parts & supplies and management of capital & major maintenance projects while practicing stringent cost management.

 

Job responsibilites: 
  • Champions and maintains a safe workplace by establishing and enforcing safety initiatives and conformance with CW safety policies and procedures.
  • Provides day-to-day leadership directing workflow.
  • Develops and ensures proper preventive maintenance procedures are followed and executed to maintain production equipment and facility in good working order while maintaining minimum downtime.
  • Develops and maintains procedures and practices, including spare parts and supplies inventory, for expedient maintenance of production equipment
  • Supports plant facilities and equipment maintenance to achieve cost effectiveness.
  • Proactively improves the maintenance process function striving for enhanced levels of efficiency.
  • Plans, implements and oversees all repair and installation activities.
  • Manages maintenance related operating and capital expenses.
  • Fosters and manages relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Develops and manages procedures to meet all environmental regulations; both State and Federal
  • Provides leadership for employee professional development through effective communications, mentoring, and training.
Position requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or trade program required; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years Industrial Maintenance Management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in progressively responsible management positions; outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Proven Project Management skills; able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing and using continuous improvement/lean principles preferred.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA regulations as applicable to department.
  • Demonstrated understanding of budgeting/expense management.
  • Good computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products to track and report departmental activities. Experience with an integrated ERP system with a maintenance management module tracking OEE and PM scheduling greatly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with all levels of leadership.
