Opportunities

Getting a secondary education is a great way to set your path for your future career. Here at Copperweld, we want to enhance that experience with a Co-Op! With real world applications, our co-ops get the chance to put what they learn to practice and prepare them for their future career.

Human Resources

HR Co-ops play a crucial role in our team by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and training & development programs. They are entrusted with meaningful projects, including the creation and maintenance of our career site, development of forms and communications, and leading audits. Additionally, HR Co-ops represent us at career fairs and contribute to fostering a positive workplace culture, helping to create an environment where everyone feels valued and at home.

Engineering

Engineering Co-ops are immersed in real-world projects, assisting with testing, troubleshooting, and implementing engineering solutions. Guided by experienced engineers, they acquire valuable technical skills and contribute to innovative projects in a dynamic environment. Co-ops also engage in process improvement initiatives, applying a lean mindset to enhance engineering practices and drive efficiency.

Accounting

Accounting Co-ops support a range of financial tasks, including managing records, preparing reports and statements, performing financial analysis, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and conducting audits. Under the mentorship of seasoned accountants, Co-ops develop essential skills and contribute significantly to maintaining reporting accuracy, driving financial stability, and ensuring compliance.

Marketing

Marketing Co-ops assist our talented marketing team with a variety of branding and communications projects. They contribute to our quarterly Copperweld Wire newsletter, review social media accounts, and help with marketing budgets. This role provides a great opportunity for creativity and hands-on experience in developing and executing marketing strategies.

What we need from you

To be eligible for a Copperweld Co-op Opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:

Maintain a Minimum GPA

Achieve and sustain a GPA of at least 3.0 to demonstrate strong academic performance

Be Enrolled in an Accredited University

Attend a recognized and accredited university or college

Pursue a Relevant Degree

Be enrolled in a degree program related to the co-op position to ensure alignment with the job’s requirements

Commitment

Typically, our Co-ops work 2+ semesters at 30+ hours per week.
