ArcAngel is engineered for easier installation, high fault performance, and proactive maintenance in complex grounding layouts.

ArcAngel is Copperweld’s high-strand-count CCS conductor, engineered to bend easily during installation while combining the electrical performance and corrosion resistance of copper with the strength of steel. With an optional ground fault indicator strand that supports faster inspection and maintenance visibility, ArcAngel helps utilities keep critical grounding systems performing over time. Flexible and durable, ArcAngel helps utilities strengthen critical infrastructure from the ground up.

Superior Strength – With the strength of steel, CCS resists stretching, breakage, and deformation under mechanical and thermal stress.

Reduced Theft Incentive – With a rugged steel core and lower scrap value than solid copper, CCS helps reduce theft incentives in remote or unmonitored locations.

Corrosion Resistance – ArcAngel is engineered to perform in demanding above-grade and below-grade grounding applications.*

Service life varies based on soil conditions, installation environment, and exposure factors. Underground performance may be impacted by soil chemistry, pH, moisture, and circulating currents. These conditions influence the performance of all grounding conductor materials, including copper and CCS.

Our original uncoated CCS finish

Bare Copperweld Copper-Clad Steel (CCS) combines the mechanical strength of steel with the conductivity and corrosion resistance of copper. Continuous copper cladding is metallurgically bonded to a steel core, creating a grounding conductor built for long service life in demanding environments.
